Hi everybody!!
Welcome back to another week of As It Would Happen - still alive and very gently kicking. I hope you're all still alive and crawling to the holiday weekend.
This week, I am madly packing up my apartment and properly making the big move! It's very exciting, but lord do I have copious amounts of stuff. Things that I have no general day to day use for, but still cannot throw out. I've also spent a lot of time on the phone. Anyone who has had to call Telstra eighteen times to switch the internet over, knows just how painful moving can be. The amount of hold music I've heard this week deserves a spot on my Spotify Wrapped. Either way, come this weekend I will be betraying all, and moving to the other side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I had no idea how much of a thing this was until I decided to move to "the North."
This week I am making a lil December bucket list for you to tick off! Some will be dead easy to ensure you feel excellent about crossing them off your list with minimal effort. I for one, love an easy to do list.
Here we go!!!! In no real order (except for number 1).
1. Set up the Christmas tree and decorations. If you haven't done it already, consider this your sign - it's time.
2. Listen to Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You - this one is so easy, all you have to do is step outside and you're done! You'll hear it! Whether you'd like to or not!
3. Have at least one nap this December - the holiday time should be about rest.
4. Either make or eat at least one baked good or dessert. Gingerbread, cake, pudding, chocolate - the world's your oyster. I for one have already hit this one at least 10 times this Dec.
5. Pick a Christmas movie for the Christmas weekend. My fave will be in the recommendations.
6. Choose a Christmas day outfit - my suggestions are that it's seasonally coloured, and has plenty of give in the tummy area to accommodate lunch.
7. Eat your advent calendar. Not all at once, don't be an animal (I'm talking to you Lauren).
8. Find a Christmas cocktail! My sister and I like to find a new one each year and then play drinking games with it throughout the day :)
9. Create a Christmas Day playlist!!
10. Put a bottle of wine in the fridge. It's good to be prepared.
11. Drive and look at Christmas lights!! Always seems like effort, yet is always worth it.
12. If you have pets who will tolerate a Christmas outfit, do dress them up.
13. Christmas spirits! Both alcoholic and jolliness - an abundance of both.
14. Have one minor family dispute over either music choices, movie choices, or who's sitting where on the couch.
15. If you're going to be travelling home for the Christmas period like I am, be sure to take way too many items, and use less than half of the things you've packed (another slam dunk item on the list)
16. Write a Christmas card
17. Wrap a present, or open one
18. Eat a mango (if not allergic or dismayed by them)
19. Eat a Lindt ball (it's not like every household doesn't get them gifted in the holiday season)
20. Say "wow it's really hot" at least once if in a summer environment.
That will probably do for now! I hope everyone is excited for the holiday period, even if nothing is planned - I hope you get to have a sleep in or a sit down. Here are some recs!!!
-RECOMMENDATIONS-
Elf on Stan-
This one is a Christmas favourite in my family - we even have it on DVD but it's available on Stan! So cute.
Too Hot To Handle on Netflix -
This show is so sugary and terrible, it's brilliant! It's a reality show where they get a bunch of party people from all over the world who think they're going to have some sexy tropical holiday, only to be told they can't touch each other or have sex in order to win prize money and "form deeper connections than just physical." The fourth season just dropped the first few eps and I am yet to watch it, but having binged the first 3 seasons, I am so keen for some terrible TV!!!
Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs-
This perfume is my go to daily scent and has been for many years. It's light and floral and refreshing.
That's it for this week! Let me know in the comments your fave Christmas traditions if you have any! Or if you don't celebrate Christmas, your favourite thing to do on the holidays. Next week I'll be back with another thrilling issue.
Until next week!

Found a great Christmas playlist on Spotify - Most popular Christmas hits. Guess what the #1 song is? You got it!
Also, there’s plenty of room for all of you on the new couch at home, it’s very comfy. Just don’t drop a Lindt ball in between the cushions!!
From the Dec. bucket list: If you watch Love Actually you also get to listen to "All I Want for Xmas" so by watching the movie you tick off 2 on the list: The owner of the couch gets to decide who sits where: When travelling you forgot to say take too many items and cram them all into a carry on bag
